If the game Resident Evil 2 has just been officially released by Capcom, the company now has another title that reigns as the best-selling release in its history, as revealed by the team in an official statement containing several economic data about the company.

They also took the opportunity to reveal more crucial details, confirming that the sales of Monster Hunter World have reached 11.9 million copies since its launch over a year ago.

They mentioned that this number gives Monster Hunter World the lead in total sales of the company’s games in history, surpassing both Resident Evil 5 with sales of 11 million copies across multiple platforms and Resident Evil 6 with sales remaining at 8.8 million copies only.

Among the remaining positions, we find Resident Evil 4, which has sold 7.4 million copies, and Resident Evil 7, which has sold around 6.1 million copies on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC only.
