Millions of websites and games disabled around the world, the issue with OVH_co

Are you facing an issue while playing your favorite online game or accessing a specific website? Don’t blame your internet service provider, as millions of websites and services are currently down.

If you’re wondering what’s happening, the answer is very simple: French company OVH, a server and cloud services provider, is facing serious issues in its data centers.

There’s no need to search for the reasons behind this, as OVH stated on their Facebook account that they are experiencing difficulties.

The tweet on the OVH Twitter account indicated that scheduled maintenance wouldn’t affect users… obviously, that wasn’t the case, as people in Europe and around the world couldn’t access various websites, services, and other essential systems.

In short, as a leading hosting services company, many companies choose to rent servers from OVH. When a problem occurs in the company’s data centers, websites, video games, and services using their servers go offline.

Last March, OVH experienced a massive fire in one of its data centers. This affected millions of users, not only causing the inability to access specific websites and services, but also resulting in the loss of irretrievable information.

Currently, it’s only known that OVH was conducting maintenance work, but the current situation tells us something else is affecting the company. Because such maintenance should not leave users unable to access websites.

It’s important to clarify that many hosting providers use OVH, which is why not only those websites renting servers from the French company are down, but also the services rented by these providers are temporarily disabled.

OVH mentioned that the issue is affecting the entire world, not just Europe. This means temporarily no access to those websites and services hosted on the company’s servers.

Currently, there is no estimated time for resolving the issue. On the other hand, some reports suggest that the problem occurred after a human error during network reconfiguration.
