Microsoft to Change the Way Large Files are Sent in Outlook

In recent years, Microsoft has been improving Outlook features to make it one of the favorite email services. However, some daily tasks still cause headaches.

For example, when we want to upload and send a large file in Microsoft Outlook, it usually crashes or shows an error. So we have to start the process over.

Microsoft’s team plans to address this issue dynamically, which will be familiar to you if you also use Gmail. When we want to send attachments larger than 25 megabytes in Gmail, they are automatically uploaded to Drive, and only the corresponding link is included in the email.

This means that the file is stored in Drive, a link is created, and it is sent in the email for the recipient to download to their computer. A similar dynamic will be implemented by Microsoft using Outlook.

In this case, files will be automatically uploaded to your OneDrive account and a link will be created to send them via email using Outlook. Naturally, this dynamic will not be applied to all files, but will be automatically activated only when it detects that they have reached the maximum supported size.

It is a useful feature for both the sender and the recipient, as they can access the file at any time, without cluttering their inbox with large files that steal your storage space.

Taking a look at Microsoft’s roadmap, this new dynamic will be available starting in September for the Outlook application on iOS. Of course, it will be necessary to have the latest version of the application to get this update within Outlook functions.
