List of Age of Empires Mobile Categories for all Heroes and Civilizations

The Age of Empires Mobile game has officially launched via the App Store and Google Play Store on October 17th, offering a completely new concept of classic strategic games to mobile gamers worldwide. TiMi Studio Group, the developer of games like Call of Duty: Mobile and Pokémon Unite, and World’s Edge, known for the Age of Empires series, collaborated to introduce a fresh and innovative experience in this beloved series for mobile gamers, retaining the iconic features of Age of Empires but with a completely new gameplay style tailored for mobile devices.

With over 50 champions and 8 civilizations to choose from in the game, there is plenty of diversity. We have compiled a list of the Age of Empires Mobile hero tiers, explaining the best heroes and civilizations that you can use in the mobile RTS game.

Featuring more than 50 player champions in Age of Empires Mobile, there are many options to choose from. We have organized this tier list to help you identify player champions you should pick as you progress in the game. We have also included the rarity of each hero and unit type so you know what to expect, in case you are looking for a specific unit type.

Those in the S Tier are the absolute best player champions and we recommend choosing them for long-term success. The A Tier champions are sufficient for the purpose, and if you obtain them early, you can make significant progress with them. B Tier champions are still decent but start to fall off as you progress further and should be replaced eventually with at least A Tier champions. Finally, C Tier champions are simply not worth using and should be replaced as soon as possible.

Here is the list of Age of Empires Mobile champions at launch:
