Learning Artificial Intelligence Pays Off: Amazon and Netflix are Looking for Experts and Offering up to $900,000 Annually.

More and more companies are looking to integrate experts in artificial intelligence into their workforce, including technology giants who are willing to offer salaries in the hundreds of thousands of dollars annually to those who demonstrate knowledge and experience in thriving technologies.

Latest companies to join include Amazon and Netflix, but they are not the only ones. Others like Meta or Nvidia have been posting job offers for AI experts for some time, offering salaries exceeding six figures.

Perhaps the most attention-grabbing case in targeting AI specialists is Netflix. The company is looking for a AI Product Leader, offering a salary of up to $900,000 annually. In this role, they will be responsible for defining the company’s strategy regarding the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence. It has also been one of the most controversial cases, since the job posting sparked a dispute by Hollywood representatives and screenwriters union, who complained, among other things, about the negative impact of streaming platforms on income.

But Netflix is not the only company willing to pay real salaries for those who demonstrate understanding of the latest developments in AI. As shared by Business Insider, the company behind one of the most popular dating apps, Hinge, is looking for a VP of AI, offering a salary of $398,000 per year.

The same goes for Amazon. The e-commerce giant (among many other things) is looking for a Director of Applied Science and AI Production and can pay up to $340,400 annually.

The list goes on with companies like Nvidia, Walmart, Capital One, or even Meta itself, all offering annual salaries exceeding $100,000 to work in the field, which for some experts is nothing but “the biggest bubble in history.”
