Leak reveals details of several upcoming games for the Xbox One by Microsoft
Microsoft had already announced multiple upcoming games for 2018 such as Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2, Crackdown 3, and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. But is there any other new or surprising releases on the horizon?
It was anticipated as Xbox head Phil Spencer had previously hinted at releasing games soon after their announcements. This hints towards the upcoming E3 2018 event where strong rumors have emerged suggesting that Microsoft will unveil a number of new games.
According to a leaker on ResetEra, who obtained information from the Xbox Live store database, a new iteration of the Forza Horizon series set in Japan is expected to arrive by the end of the year. This leak seems credible as it was spotted some time ago in a tweet by an Xbox executive.
The leaks continued with the revelation that a new installment of the Perfect Dark series is in development as a completely new title from StoryLab Productions and The Coalition, as we discussed in a previous post today before touching on Microsoft’s return to work on Fable IV, entrusted to a British team.
Additionally, it was noted that Age of Empires IV is facing delays and will not be released as previously scheduled, along with Microsoft working on a new mode that brings all players together in the latest installment of their biggest series, most likely referring to the Halo series.
The leaker also mentioned the name “Mechs” being mentioned in multiple places, possibly hinting at the return of the MechAssault series. However, these are still just leaks and rumors until Microsoft officially confirms them. Regards.
