Leak of the game “Joseph Knight” and exciting details about the gameplay system

Hazelight Studio recently revealed that their latest game, It Takes Two, has sold 20 million copies. Following this announcement, the director of the game, Joseph Fares, teased their next title by revealing the first letter of the first word and the last letter of the second word, which were “S**** ******N.”
This left many puzzled and searching for the full name of the game, which consists of two words. Eventually, the gaming community managed to figure out the full name of the game.
Through a leak by billbil-kun, who published a post on their website, the full name of the new game was revealed along with some new details that Hazelight Studio hinted at through a post on the X platform.
The game will be called “Split Fiction” and is a cooperative third-person game that supports two separate characters to play either online or locally on a split screen, as was the case with the studio’s previous games.
The studio’s official account on the X platform shared an image that appears to be the first page of the game’s text, revealing details such as the game being cooperative “Co-op,” confirming that the game will be cooperative, similar to previous titles from the studio. It is also noted that the game will be released under the EA Originals label, a subsidiary of Electronic Arts, as was the case with both A Way Out and It Takes Two.
Upon closer inspection of the image, a yellow paper with hand-drawn illustrations can be seen, hinting at the word “Split,” which is the first word of the game’s title, indicating “division.” These drawings may allude to the nature of split-screen gameplay, which may vary depending on the mission.
There are splits in screen length, splits in screen width, and even diagonal splits, which raise curiosity about the nature of screen division during gameplay. However, the most intriguing part of the image is the section that is cut off, revealing multiple arrows dividing the screen into more than two sections. Could this be a hint that the game may support more than two players at once?
The answer to this question remains unclear at this stage, but we expect more hints to be shared by Joseph Fares or Hazelight Studio in the coming days. We anticipate the announcement of the new game during The Game Awards 2024 event, scheduled for December of this year.
