Latest Windows 11 update causing serious problems for some users

Some Windows 11 users are facing serious technical issues after installing the latest update (24H2) released by Microsoft. These updates have caused problems related to the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) on devices with SSD storage drives.

According to reports from the technology-focused site Windows Latest, this issue has been particularly affecting SSD drives manufactured by Western Digital and SanDisk. Users have reported system failures after installing the update, leading to the appearance of the Blue Screen of Death, which often indicates a deep system problem.

The main reason behind this issue is the lack of compatibility between some storage drive versions and the latest system updates. Users have reported specific impacts on Western Digital drives SN770 and SN580. Some attempts to solve the problem have included reinstalling the operating system or even removing and reinserting the drives, but these solutions have not been sufficient.

Technical experts investigating the issue have suggested a temporary solution involving disabling the HMB host memory feature from within the system registry. This disablement may affect performance, but it prevents the Blue Screen of Death from appearing until a final solution is released by Microsoft.

At present, there has been no official statement from Microsoft or Western Digital regarding the issue, but it is evident that both companies are working to resolve it.
