Jackbox Survey Scramble will turn your game night into Family Feud

The heat is on. I’m in the middle of a round of Hilo, a new game that features Survey in Jackbox Push, and I need some points if I’m going to win. I’m competing against three members of the Jackbox team as we take turns guessing the best sandwich ingredients and earning points based on how popular our responses are with other players. Now, we need to guess the worst response on the list that has over 270 entries. I could have written “mayonnaise,” but that’s the 2nd most popular answer. If I want to win, I’ll need to think like a Jackbox player.

Write “Tube”. It’s sure to show up near the middle of the list.

This is the comedic twist of Survey in Jackbox Push compared to the previous packs from the developer. Instead of crafting clever prompts and witty jokes, this side group is all about letting players’ masks lead the comedy show. And the result is a fun experience that finds the Jackbox team creatively active in their professional lives – all for the benefit of their players.

Survey Says…

Survey in Jackbox Push isn’t your typical Jackbox Party Pack. You won’t be drawing pictures, following a long list of rules, or playing any familiar games. Instead, all four games (with two more) here focus on one core concept: surveys. Each game poses a question to players. What’s the best cat name? What words do you see in the comic book? Each response consisting of a single word is then stored in a database, reviewed by the moderation team, and fed back into the game. This means their responses are not static; they change over time as more people play, making it the most dynamic game in Jackbox so far.

“When you come back to this game, it will be different,” game director Tim Sniffin told Digital Trends when explaining his vision for Survey Scramble as a long-lasting Jackbox game. “Partly because you’ve played it, but also because everyone is playing it. It has the ability to be a nice reflection of the world around it.
