Irate PlayStation players unhappy with Spider-Man 2 release on PC.

It’s been almost a year since the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Sony decided to surprise PC gamers on the anniversary, as the gaming giant announced that the game will be released for PC on January 30. While PC players are happy to hear this news, PlayStation fans are not.

PlayStation fans expressed their disappointment on social media claiming that the PS5 no longer has any value and that they were expecting additional content to be revealed, not a PC release. Some fans argue through the official game page on Twitter that this decision is not right and question the story expansions.

One player said:

You canceled story expansions to cater to the PC audience.

Of course, others did not miss the opportunity to ridicule PlayStation head Hermen Hulst, pointing out that Hulst prefers to invest another $200 million in Concord rather than develop an add-on for a successful and popular game.

Another person said:

What is the point of PS5 and especially PS5 Pro then?!

Ghost of Tsushima was released on PC after 4 years, while God of Ragnarok was released after 2 years. Therefore, PS5 fans may have hoped that a PC release would not be announced for at least another year.

It is worth mentioning that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is coming to PC on January 30, 2025.
