Installing Windows 7, 8, or 10 from the hard drive without a flash memory or DVD drive.

Let me tell you that our tutorial today is very special. Installing Windows from a DVD is usually tiring and no longer common. The alternative is now to install Windows from a flash drive. But what if you could install Windows directly from the hard drive without a flash drive, DVD, or CD at all? It is certainly a wonderful thing, and that is the focus of our tutorial today on how to install Windows directly from the hard drive. Let me tell you that the method is very easy and not difficult at all. It works well and has been tested with Windows 8 and Windows 7, and I believe it also works without any problems with Windows 10. This is what we will discover through the lines of this article as we will experiment with Windows 10, noting that the method works with Windows 8 and Windows 7 and has been tested.

At the beginning, all you need is to have the Windows ISO file naturally, then transfer it to one of the drives on the hard drive, making sure that the drive containing Windows is different from drive C. Then, unzip the Windows files inside a folder named Windows10, as shown in the image below.

Now all you have to do is when booting the device, enter the Command Prompt directly. In Windows 7, you can enter it by pressing F8 at startup and then selecting Repair Windows, then entering System Recovery Options, and clicking on Command Prompt.

In Windows 8 or Windows 10, all you have to do is enter Advanced Startup Options by clicking on Settings from within Windows, then Update and recovery, then click on Recovery, then Restart now at the bottom of the menu. Or during device boot, press Shift + F8 to enter directly into Advanced Start-up Options and then choose Troubleshoot, Advanced Option, Command Prompt.

Now, after running the CMD command prompt, type the letter corresponding to the drive where the Windows copy is located and then press Enter. In my case, the drive letter is F, so I will write:

F:

Then type cd and the name of the folder containing the Windows files and then press Enter. For example:

cd Windows10

Now type setup.exe and press Enter to start installing Windows.

Continue following the rest of the steps to install Windows as if you were installing it from a DVD or flash drive without any difference. This method is unique and saves you a lot. You can keep a folder in this format and if you lose the Windows copy, you can install Windows directly by booting and entering the command prompt, then installing Windows directly as described above.
