Increasing American Concerns about the Transfer of Electronic Chip Technology to Enemies
Cybersecurity expert Brandon Valbriano has confirmed a noticeable increase in concerns within the United States about American semiconductor technology falling into the hands of enemies. In an interview with Al-Hurra channel, Valbriano emphasized the importance of semiconductors and advanced chips in enhancing American national security, expressing concern that US adversaries, such as China, may leverage American technology in this field.
The expert discussed the impact of Western technology on the battlefield, pointing out that Russia has deployed a large number of these technologies in Ukraine, causing concern among US national security officials.
Similarly, Valbriano predicted that decision-makers in Washington will take urgent security measures to ensure the safety and protection of the United States from any future risks.
The US Department of Commerce announced on September 30, 2024, a new rule that may facilitate the shipment of artificial intelligence chips to data centers in the Middle East. This decision comes after the Department imposed a requirement last October for exporters to obtain licenses before shipping advanced chips to certain countries in the Middle East and Central Asia.
