Huawei officially unveils Nova 13 smartphones
Huawei has announced the launch of its new smartphones, the Nova 13 and Nova 13 Pro, in the Chinese market, with a new design and improvements in the camera and operating system.
The Nova 13 phone features a 6.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1084×2412 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
It has a main camera with a 50-megapixel resolution and f/1.9 aperture, along with a wide-angle camera at 8 megapixels, and a front camera with a 60-megapixel resolution and f/2.4 aperture.
On the other hand, the Nova 13 Pro comes with a 6.76-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1224×2776 pixels, featuring LTPO technology that supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It also has an in-display fingerprint sensor, and is IP65 water and dust resistant.
The Nova 13 Pro has a main rear camera with a 50-megapixel resolution and variable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0, a 12-megapixel zoom camera up to 3 times, an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 60-megapixel front camera.
Both phones have a 5000mAh battery that supports 100W fast charging, allowing for up to 50% charge in just 10 minutes.
They run on HarmonyOS 4.2 operating system, with multiple storage options starting from 256GB to 1TB. Huawei also offers various AI features like text enhancement, unwanted element removal in photos, personalized suggestions, and more.
Huawei is offering the Nova 13 in China starting at around $380, while the Nova 13 Pro starts at around $520.
Huawei has not revealed details about the processor in these phones yet, nor has it specified a release date for global markets.
