How to Use Multiple WhatsApp Accounts on iPhone

It is very common for some of us to have more than one SIM card as a way to separate work tasks from personal tasks. However, if we want to use multiple accounts in communication apps where each account is associated with a separate phone number, it becomes quite a hassle. As everyone knows, apps usually restrict the use to one account only, so one has to log out and log back in with a different account. This especially applies to WhatsApp, but the idea of switching between accounts by logging in and out is not practical at all, and the alternative, of course, is to clone the apps.
Cloning apps on Android devices is simple because most Android phones now come with a feature called Dual Apps that allows cloning apps and using them separately, and there are also apps that serve the same purpose like Parallel Space. Unfortunately, doing so on iPhones is almost impossible without jailbreaking, but there is a temporary solution that can serve the purpose and help you use two WhatsApp accounts on one iPhone. Let’s explain in detail.

Since there is no app cloning feature on iPhones, running more than one WhatsApp account relies on using the second official WhatsApp app, which is WhatsApp Business. WhatsApp Business is definitely something you might have come across while browsing the app store, it is a similar version to the regular WhatsApp but with some additional features that make it more suitable for businesses and companies.
Anyone can use WhatsApp Business easily and won’t have any trouble dealing with the app, such as conducting individual chats, video and voice calls, etc., making it a modified version of the original WhatsApp. However, it is worth noting that registering in WhatsApp Business will label your account as a “business account,” but it is not necessary to enter any information indicating that you are using this account for your business. In short, WhatsApp Business is suitable for personal use.

All you need to do is open the App Store and then go to the Search section to search for “WhatsApp Business.” You will find the app in the results, click on “Get” to download it. Alternatively, you can access the app page on the store here. Now you will have two apps that provide the same service on your iPhone – regular WhatsApp and the business version.
Launch WhatsApp Business, and you will get a new account creation interface. At this stage, you can register your second number in the app the same way you did in the regular app, just enter the number and wait for the confirmation code to create the account. During this process, you will be asked to specify the type of your business activity, but if you intend to use the account for personal use, you can select the option “Not a business.”
You can now use WhatsApp Business as an additional app alongside the regular WhatsApp app and it will work as expected. Personally, I only use the regular version as I do not have more than one phone number. However, many people have two numbers for various reasons, whether to separate work from personal life or if you have a number shared with a specific group of people in your life, this method surely helps you create a WhatsApp account specifically for the second number and manage both accounts from one phone with ease.
If you are looking for another way to run more than one WhatsApp on the iPhone, there are other unofficial methods available. For example, you can use modified versions of WhatsApp from external sources that are not available on the App Store, and to download them you will need to install a side store like AltStore through installing its Configuration Profile. While it doesn’t require jailbreaking, it is a risky process and is not recommended for casual use unless you find that WhatsApp Business doesn’t offer the experience you expected. However, it remains one of the alternative ways to use two separate WhatsApp accounts on the iPhone.
