How to Set a Video as a Wallpaper on Samsung Phones
Forget about most Android smartphones, Samsung phones have many features that you might take a long time to discover them all; in this topic we shed light on a feature that some may overlook, which allows users to customize the lock screen wallpaper to be part of a video clip instead of a static image, so that it appears as a moving background whenever you turn on the phone. This feature is available on almost all Samsung phones and does not require installing any additional applications, but if you want to do the same with the home screen, i.e., set a video as a wallpaper for the screen that appears after unlocking, then you will need to download an additional but official application from Samsung. Anyway, if you are interested, let’s explore all the ways to use a video as a wallpaper on Samsung phones.
First Method: Set a video as a lock screen wallpaper
In the default Samsung Gallery app for browsing photos and videos, there are many features that may eliminate the need for installing external apps in some cases. For example, the app allows you to erase writing and objects from photos, as well as enlarge an image without affecting its quality, and not only that, you can also remove shadows from photos using it or remove the background from the image. And if you want to use a portion of a video on your phone as a lock screen wallpaper, you can also do that using the “Studio” app only.
All you have to do is open the “Studio” Gallery app then choose the video you want to extract a part of it for the wallpaper. After the video is displayed within the app, click on the more button (⁝) at the bottom corner of the screen, then choose “Set as wallpaper” to be asked afterward if you want to set the video as a lock screen wallpaper or as a call screen wallpaper, so choose “Lock screen”. As we mentioned in the introduction, if you want to set a video as a wallpaper for the home screen as well, there is another way to do that which we will review.
