If you’ve ever wanted to share your thoughts directly with a content creator on YouTube, there’s still a way to do it. Even though YouTube has removed the embedded messaging option from the web application, you can still communicate. Instead of sending a private message on YouTube, you can directly send an email to the video creator or channel administrator. Users can publicly display their email address on YouTube in their profile. If the channel you want to contact has their email address listed, all you need to do is uncover it to communicate instantly.
But if you prefer not to send an email, or the user has not added their email to their YouTube profile, you can check if they have linked their social media profiles in their YouTube channel. You can then visit their profiles and message the user from there. In this article, we will explain how to utilize these methods to send a message to a YouTube channel.
Contacting through Email Address
To find the email address of a YouTube user, you will need to use the official YouTube site in a web browser on your Windows, Mac, or Linux computer. Unfortunately, this email address does not show on the mobile YouTube app. Firstly, open the YouTube site in a web browser on your computer> Click on the search box at the top and type the username or channel you want to contact> Then press Enter, and select the user to contact from the search results.
After opening the channel page, from the tab bar below the user’s (or channel’s) image, select the “About” tab> Now, in the “About” tab within the “Details” section, click on “View email address”. But if you don’t see the “View email address” option, it means the channel has not added an email address to their profile. In this case, do not worry, there are also other methods of contacting that we will explain in the following paragraphs.
After clicking on “View email address”, you will see a prompt to confirm that you are not a robot. So, select “I am not a robot” in this prompt> then click “Submit”. You will now see the email address of the channel in the “For business inquiries” field. You can now send an email to this email address from any email service provider (such as Gmail or Outlook).

Alternative Ways to Contact a YouTube User
If all else fails! And the YouTube user has not included their email address in their profile, search in the descriptions of their videos and see if you can find an email listed there instead. To do this, open a video from this user. You will see the video description below the video title> Check this description and see if you can find an email listed there> If the video description also does not include an email address, the user may not want to be contacted via email.
In this case, check if the user has included links to their social media profiles in their YouTube channel. On the same “About” page on YouTube, scroll down to the “Links” section. Here you will find links to the user’s social media profiles> Click on any link to go to that social media site. For example, if you click on a Facebook link, you will be taken to the user’s profile on Facebook. Note the username of the user and search for their profile, then contact them directly by sending a message.
