As we all know, there is always a default application on mobile devices specialized in collecting a type of media, such as a video player app to collect all videos stored in memory and watch them, or a music app to gather all music tracks in one place and play any of them, or a gallery/studio app to display any image stored in memory, whether internal or external.
For the latter, sometimes displaying all the photos in one place can be embarrassing for some, those who have a collection of personal photos that they do not want to show to anyone who can open the phone and access the studio app. Unfortunately, there is no option to hide specific photos from the app, but at least there are simple tricks and hacks that can serve the purpose, and here we will present these tricks specific to Android devices, so let’s get started…

The idea is simply to create a new folder on the internal memory of the phone or external (SD Card) and make this folder invisible, so any item added to this folder becomes invisible as well. So, if this item is a photo, it will remain saved in the memory but will not appear in any app that displays stored photos on the phone, whether the default gallery app on the phone or any third-party app.
To do this, go to the file manager app on your phone and turn it on. Then go to the settings section by clicking on the menu button and selecting Settings, and from there, activate the option to show hidden files.
The above steps will make hidden items visible only within the file manager app. So, now go to the internal or external memory where you create the hidden folder and store the photos in it. From there, press the menu button and choose Create folder to show a pop-up window where you can enter the folder name. Here, make sure to put a “.” at the beginning of the input field and then add any letters you want to make up a name for the folder. This “.” informs the Android system that you want this folder to be invisible.
After creating the hidden folder, go to the folder that contains the photos you want to hide from the gallery app or studio app, select the photos in this folder, then press the menu button and choose Move. When the “Move to” window appears, go to the hidden folder we created and press Done to complete moving the selected photos to this hidden folder. Once the photos are inside the hidden folder, they will not appear in the studio app again; however, you can still see them whenever you open this folder.
Second Method: Hide Photos in an Album
Most default photo viewing apps on Android phones allow you to hide albums containing photos within the app without the need to follow the previous method or use additional apps on the phone.
