Certainly, “Netflix” is one of the most popular “video-on-demand” platforms and the most widely used due to its many unique features. Starting with its very distinctive content and high-quality exclusives offered in up to “4K” resolution, with the ability to stream on multiple devices with the same account and support for various operating systems, all for a low monthly subscription fee. However, sometimes when browsing through the platform’s lists of series and movies, a promotional clip is played as a preview for each film or series, which can be somewhat annoying for some users. Sometimes films are played just by hovering over the title without your consent. So, in this article, we will learn how to disable this feature across all operating systems.
This can be easily done, but it must be done by logging into your “Netflix” account through the platform’s official website on the internet, not through the mobile apps or smart screens as these apps do not currently support displaying all account settings. As all platform users know, it is possible to create multiple profile settings for family members or friends on the same account for more privacy and to keep different lists of favorite shows, as well as viewing history and individual settings for each user sharing the same account.

Fortunately, the platform allows you to disable this feature individually for each profile within the same account. You can do this by logging into your “Netflix” account, then navigating through the account settings to “Manage Profiles,” selecting the profile you want to disable this feature for, and clicking on the “Edit Profile” icon within the profile.
On the following settings page, deactivate the option “Auto play previews while browsing on all devices,” then click on “Save” at the bottom of the screen and “Done” to finish and save the settings. Immediately, the automatic playback of previews will be disabled for this profile only when logging in on any other device with any operating system, whether a computer, smartphone, or smart TV. You can test it yourself. Likewise, if you leave this option enabled for other profiles, the feature will not be disabled for those profiles because those settings are associated with the profile only and not the user account on the “Netflix” platform.
