How to mirror your Android screen on Windows 10 without using any software or extensions

Displaying your Android mobile screen on a computer is something that many internet users need and may come across in many situations. For example, if you want to control your phone remotely or watch movies, display photos stored on the phone on the computer, or if you want to present a presentation from the phone through the computer, or even explain a specific application on the phone through the computer. Indeed, there are many tools that meet this demand, and one of them is the MoboMarket program for controlling the phone through the computer.
However, if you are using Windows 10 on your computer and have installed the annual update, you do not need to use any programs on the computer or applications on the phone to display the phone screen on the computer. You can easily do this using the Connect application built into the version. Let us now see how to use it for this purpose.

As I mentioned earlier, we will use an application called “Connect” for this task. This application is one of the new applications that comes built-in with Windows 10 after the annual update. This application allows users to cast or stream content from other devices such as mobile devices or smartphones to the computer via Wi-Fi. This is a great feature in Windows 10 and we can use it to display the phone screen on the computer as it is content that can be cast. Now let’s see how to complete this task through the Connect application.

To run the application on your Windows 10 computer, click on the Start menu and search for the Connect application in the app column on the menu. If you do not find it, you will need to get the annual update. Anyway, after running the application, you will see a message “ready for you to connect wirelessly” which informs you that the device is ready to connect to other devices or the screen casting feature has been activated on this device. Now leave the application on the desktop and let’s move to the phone to connect it to the computer.

Well, you can connect to the computer or cast between the phone and the computer in 3 different ways on the phone. The first is through a feature available on most Android phones called Screen Mirroring, which you can activate by pulling down the status bar on the phone to display all the quick options and you will find Screen Mirroring among them. Click on it to directly display a list of nearby devices that can be cast with, and you will definitely find the name of your computer in this list as long as the Connect application is open on this computer. By clicking on the computer name, the phone will start connecting to the computer, and then the phone screen will be displayed on the computer screen.
In other phones, there is no Screen Mirroring feature, but there is an option within the screen settings in the phone that performs the same function. You can access it by opening the Settings on the phone, then Display settings, then click on Cast option and activate it by placing a check mark in front of the Enable wireless display option, immediately the nearby devices that can be cast with will be displayed.
If you do not find any of these options on your mobile, you will need to use applications that provide you with them, such as the Miracast Widget application or the WiFi-Display application. After running any of them, a list of nearby devices for casting will be displayed, and of course, you will find the name of your computer in it. You can click on it to start the connection.

As you can see in the image above, your Android phone screen will be displayed on the Connect application in the computer after connecting through the three mentioned methods. You will notice that anything you do on the phone will be displayed on the computer, and here you can easily watch movies, display photos… etc. on the computer. However, unfortunately, you will not be able to control the phone through the application.
