How to Install Windows from a Flash Drive Even If Your Device Doesn’t Support It
The method that I will highlight in this topic is installing Windows using the installation icon found in the system installation files after extracting them from the compressed ISO file, where you will have 8 files, including the setup icon shown in the image above. Through this icon, we can install Windows alongside the version we are currently using, and through the new version after installing it we will delete the Winodows Old folder to get rid of the old version. Just follow the next steps and apply them until you understand the meaning if you want to install a new Windows from a flash drive and your computer does not support it.
All you have to do is burn the Windows copy to a flash drive or transfer the installation files to the flash drive, then double-click on the setup file to display a window similar to the one that appears at the beginning of installing a new Windows containing an Install now button which you will press to review the normal installation procedures, initially you will specify whether you want to get the latest updates or not then agree to the license agreement and terms of use.
As part of these procedures, you will see within the window the selection of the partition on which Windows will be installed as shown in the image above, and of course, you will not find a format option available because we actually use a Windows copy on the hard drive, so you will press on partition C and select it so that the new Windows is installed alongside the old one noting that this partition must have storage space of not less than 7 GB for things to go smoothly, now press the Next button at the bottom and a confirmation message will appear press OK to start installing Windows.
Now Windows is being installed alongside the current version and there is not much difference between this method and installing Windows by booting the device on the flash drive, but you should not leave the computer until it finishes installing Windows as it will require you when you reach the Completing installation stage to remove the flash drive and reinstall it after restarting knowing that you have 10 seconds to remove it, and if you leave the flash drive without removing it from the device after the time expires, the system will have to perform a new installation process.
After many restarts that the computer will do during the Windows installation process, the system finally moves to the final steps and the usual ones when installing any new version of Windows where a window will appear for you to select the system language and the language you are proficient in and the keyboard language, then press Next to set the computer name, password, adjust the time and date..etc, until the desktop appears and thus the new Windows system has been installed alongside the old or previous one.
As partition C now contains two operating systems, Windows, naturally, the volume of this partition will be large after installing Windows, the space used should be 8 GB, but in this case, it will be large because the previous Windows files and programs are still on the partition and in the next step, we will learn how to delete them so that you have only one Windows version on the computer or laptop.
All you need to delete the old version after installing a new Windows in this way is to go to partition C that contains two Windows versions then right-click on it and choose Properties to display a window with an analysis of the partition space, all we need is to click on the Disk Cleanup button and wait a bit until another window appears press from it on the Clean up system files button until an option called “Previous Windows installation” appears in the Files to delete list click on it to put a checkmark and now press OK at the bottom to start deleting this file, and now you have a completely new version without entering the BIOS screen and setting up boot settings.
