In Windows 10, you can set an accent color to match or contrast with the desktop background. You can allow Windows to choose the appropriate color based on the screen background or choose one yourself. There are some colors that you cannot simply set as accent colors, as they are too dark or too light, or Windows informs you that this color is not supported. Among those colors is true black, which is why this article was created to help you use true black color in Windows 10.
Note: This modification will allow you to set a true black color for title bars, but it may affect text visibility. The experience was tested on Windows 10 version 1803 and 1709. You can also change color themes directly from the Settings app to match the title bar color with the Start menu bar and all other elements without affecting the color used by selecting Start menu items. Therefore, with the method we will explain, only the menu colors will be changed to any color you want without affecting other elements.

True Black Color
Open the Settings app and go to the Personalization section, select the Colors tab, then turn off transparency, disable displaying color on Start, taskbar, and action center, and leave the option for title bars enabled.
Then press Win+R and type “regedit” then press Enter, go to the following location (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\DWM), look for a value called “AccentColor”, double-click on it and change its value from ffd77800 to 171717 and click OK. Then look for the value “ColorPrevalence” and double-click on it and set its value to 1. The changes will be applied to the true black color after changing the second value directly. (If you do not like the true black color, you can change the value to any other value you want according to the color gradients, for example, the number 1717159 indicates a light black or gray color if you will) Now you should have true black title bars. Set a nice background suitable for your desktop to make the interface look beautiful and suitable for viewing.

To return to the default state, revert the value of “AccentColor” to ffd77800, and click on the value of “ColorPrevalence” to apply the command, go back to the Colors section and re-enable transparency option and uncheck the title bar option to return everything back as it was before. If the change does not happen immediately for some reason, restart the system. If the changes are not applied, go back to the Windows registry and check the values of the keys you entered. If all other steps fail, just open the Settings app, go to the Personalization section, select the Colors tab, and enable any theme you want.
