How to experience safe browsing in Chrome desktop on Android
Google Chrome remains the number one browser among users when it comes to browsing the web, whether on desktop or mobile phones. Google continues to add more features to its browser, especially in the areas of security and privacy. Recently, Google announced the introduction of enhanced secure browsing to the service. This is a new way to protect user data and privacy, and in this article, we will learn about it and how to activate it on your Android phone and more.
Overview of the New Enhanced Secure Browsing in Google Chrome Browser
As a feature, secure browsing has been available in Chrome for a long time, but the recent enhancements introduced by Google in this mode can be considered completely new. You can access it by going to Chrome settings on the desktop, then to the Privacy and Security tab, and then to the new option “Security Information.” You will notice the “Safe Browsing” option, which includes three options: Enhanced Protection, Standard Protection, or No Protection.
This support is currently widely available for Chrome users on desktop, but when it comes to Android, it is still very limited. However, you can activate this mode through the steps we will explain next. If you are someone who wants to experience this protection today rather than tomorrow, continue reading.

How to Activate Enhanced Secure Browsing on Chrome in Android?
Simply, we will use the hidden feature called “Flags.” First, open the Chrome browser on your Android device and copy the following path “chrome://flags” _ without the brackets _ and paste it into the top URL box.
The next step, as shown in the image below, is to type “safe browsing” in the search bar. You will see all the flags that contain the phrase “safe browsing.” We need the following two flags to activate them immediately.
chrome://flags/#safe-browsing-security-section-ui-android
chrome://flags/#safe-browsing-enhanced-protection-android
Now, once you have done the above, click on the “Relaunch” option at the bottom to restart the browser. If it does not open automatically, open it manually, then go to Chrome settings. You will notice the new “Privacy and Security” tab, which was previously called “Privacy.” Click on it.
In the interface in front of you, you will see the “Safe Browsing” option. Simply click on it. You will see the new user interface for this feature, which includes the same options in Chrome on the desktop: Enhanced Protection, Standard Protection, or No Protection. Choose the level that suits you, now that you understand the nature of each level.

In conclusion, make sure to download the latest version of Google Chrome from the Google Play Store, and we hope the company will officially launch the feature soon for everyone.
