How to customize your Android phone screen size without using apps

Large screens have become a key feature in the new releases of mobile phones and tablets, as most users prefer their devices to have a large screen. Having this feature means displaying more content and a better screen in every sense of the word. The advantage is even greater for Note phone users, which are known for their large screen and smart pen. With this pen and large screen, you can draw and control the screen content better.

On the other hand, there are other benefits to having a large screen such as clarity of app icons, text, and the enjoyment of watching videos. Similarly, on Android 7.0 “Nougat”, there is a feature that is essentially linked to the screen, which is customizing the screen size. Through this feature, you can enlarge text and icons, making it easier to browse and navigate.

To customize the screen size on Android 7.0, follow these simple steps:

  • Go to your phone settings, then to the Display tab or section depending on your device labeling.
  • Scroll down and click on the “Display Size” option.
  • You will see 5 different sizes to choose from – small, default, large, larger, largest.
  • Click on the distinct points in the scroll bar.
  • You will also see a preview screen showing how the text and app tiles will appear in the chosen size.
  • Adjusting the scroll bar will change the display size.

At this point, you do not need to do anything else to enable the change. The difference is most noticeable when dealing with text. The images above show the default display size and the largest available size, where app icons appear more prominently, the Google search bar is thicker to accommodate larger text, and the status bar at the top of the screen is larger and clearer.

Finally, if you prefer to keep app icons at their original size but still want larger text, consider changing the font size in your phone settings instead of changing the display size.
