Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster introduces a huge graphical leap compared to the original game.
No one has demanded an improved version of Horizon Zero Dawn because the original game released 7 years ago still looks amazing. However, Sony announced the remaster a while ago and it will be available in the market soon. According to the latest technical analysis, the new version offers a significant graphical improvement despite the criticisms it faced.
Digital Foundry released an in-depth technical review of the game, showcasing the graphical differences and performance compared to the original version. It seems that the enhanced version contains many improvements that may persuade many players to purchase it.
It is fair to say that Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered features much better visuals than the original game released in 2017. Nixxes, in collaboration with Guerrilla Games, has done a remarkable job in the redesigned version by replacing the terrain system, adding many details, different vegetation, and a huge increase in quality. Nixxes didn’t really change the artistic style but managed to enhance and improve the original style significantly.
The water appearance in the original game wasn’t very good, however, in Horizon Forbidden West, there was a significant difference. Similarly, in the enhanced version, the water display has been improved, and although it may not be as good as Forbidden West, you can clearly see the difference.
The enhanced lighting and reflections can also be noticed clearly, making the game look much better. There is also an additional feature for those using VRR screens, where frame rates are not restricted at 60 frames per second in performance mode.
