Honor Unveils Magic V3, the Slimmest Foldable Phone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Processor and 55W Wireless Charging

Honour today announced its thinnest foldable phone, the Magic V3, which the company has been teasing for some time.

The Magic V3 phone is 9.2mm thick when opened and 4.35mm when closed, thanks to Honour’s update to the phone’s hinges, making them thinner and more durable. The phone weighs 226 grams, which is 13 grams lighter than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6.

The phone comes with an outer OLED display measuring 6.43 inches with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 2500nits brightness, supporting a stylus. When the phone is open, you get an OLED screen measuring 7.92 inches with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1800nits brightness.

The phone features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 12 or 16GB of RAM, 256GB or 1TB of internal storage, a 5,150mAh battery with 66W fast charging and 50W fast wireless charging support, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and runs on Android 14 with MagicOS 8.0.1.

The Magic V3 phone has three rear cameras: a 50MP main camera with f/1.6 aperture and OIS, a 50MP 3.5x optical zoom camera with f/3.0 aperture, and a 40MP wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture. It also has a 20MP front camera on the outer display.

The Magic V3 phone will be available for sale in China on July 19 starting from 8,999 yuan, equivalent to $1,240.
