First, Disable the Download Bar

If you don’t want the download list to be cleared, you need to change the setting first. To prevent the extension from clearing the downloads, uncheck the option “Clear downloads every few seconds.” To hide the download bar, enable the option “Disable download shelf option.”
That’s all you need to do. The next time you download a file, the download bar won’t appear again. The download will start normally, and you will see the green progress indicator on the Chrome taskbar icon.
