Here is the difference between websites and web applications

Initially, a website consists of pages, like a book from which you open the page you want and find dozens of words. The website follows the same system, with the strange fact that the word “website” is newly coined because it was originally referred to as a booklet, and its design relies on specific programming languages unlike applications.
As for applications, they are small programs that work extensively, are highly organized, and provide easy access to a lot of information. They are usually a condensed version of the website. The main difference is that applications do not have pages like those on websites, and they are built using completely different programming languages. Additionally, applications involve interaction and opinions among people unlike websites.
It is worth mentioning that with the recent technological advancements, there are now what are called hybrid websites. These websites resemble applications in their content and websites in their structure, and they perform both functions. These are the main differences between a web application and a website.
