Google’s Translator Toolkit tool for translating movie subtitles from one language to another
Google’s Translator Toolkit is a new service that requires you to have a Google account (Gmail). You then upload the subtitles you want in SRT or SUB format, which are the most common in the world of subtitles. Choose the subtitles and the language you want to translate them into, then wait for the process to complete. After that, you can download the subtitles or edit them as you wish. (Access the service)
Simply click on Upload, then select the subtitles from your device, choose the language you want to translate them into from the menu, then Next, and wait until the translation process is completed. You will be presented with a manual translation offer, click on No Thanks. Then enter the translation and add manual edits or download the subtitles after translation for use.
After making all the edits and everything, you can click on File, then Download to download the subtitles directly to your device. Google’s translation may not be perfect, but it serves the purpose. For those who want a professional translation and know a second language they want the translation to, this tool is extremely easy to use for translating manually.
