Google officially announces the Pixel 9 series with Tensor 4 processor and Google AI features

After numerous leaks, Google officially announced the Pixel 9 phone series today.
The design language of the Pixel 9 series is similar to the previous generation, with the camera strip on the back and the front camera in the middle of the top of the screen. However, there is a change in the design of the edges, which are now sharp instead of rounded. The edges of the Pixel 9 phones are made of aluminum, while the back is made of glass with both the front and back having Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. Google claims that the phones are twice as strong as the previous generation and are resistant to water and dust with an IP68 rating.
The Pixel 9 phone features a 6.24-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1080×2424, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a brightness of up to 2700nits and 1800nits with HDR. It is powered by the Tensor G4 processor, which Google says is 20% faster in browsing websites and 17% faster in opening apps compared to the G3 processor. The phone comes with 12GB of RAM and internal storage options of 128GB or 256GB.
The phone has dual rear cameras with a 50MP main camera with an f/1.68 aperture and OIS, and a wide-angle 123-degree 48MP camera with an f/1.7 aperture. The front camera is 10.5MP with an f/2.2 aperture. The battery capacity is 4700mAh with support for 27W fast charging and 15W wireless charging.
It also features an in-display Ultrasonic fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, and supports emergency satellite calling and messaging. It runs on Android 14 and will receive major and security updates for seven years. The starting price is $799, available for pre-order now, and will be available for sale on August 22.
The Pixel 9 Pro phone features a 6.34-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1280×2856, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a brightness of up to 3000nits and 2050nits with HDR. It is powered by the Tensor G4 processor with 16GB of RAM and internal storage options of 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB.
The phone has triple rear cameras with a 50MP main camera with an f/1.68 aperture, a 123-degree wide-angle 48MP camera with an f/1.7 aperture, and a 48MP 5x optical zoom camera with an f/2.8 aperture. It supports up to 30x hybrid zoom. The front camera is 42MP. The battery capacity is 4700mAh with support for 27W fast charging and 21W wireless charging.
The Pixel 9 Pro also features exclusive camera capabilities such as Night Sight Video, Super Res Zoom for videos, Zoom Enhance, Pro controls, and Video Boost. Google claims the Pixel 9 Pro is the best smartphone for video recording, with processing speed twice as fast thanks to the Tensor G4 processor.

It starts at 256GB of storage with a 1TB option available, and the starting price is $1,099, available for pre-order now, and will be available for sale on August 22.
All three phones feature Google AI artificial intelligence capabilities, including the Studio app, Pixel Screenshots, Add Me, Call Notes, and Pixel Weather.
