Google launches advanced security system to protect messaging app users from electronic fraud

Google has announced the development of a new security system aimed at protecting users of messaging apps from electronic fraud risks, with a particular focus on combating parcel tracking messages and fake job offers.
The new system relies on artificial intelligence technologies to analyze message content, automatically directing suspicious messages to the spam folder, issuing alerts to users to warn them of potential risks. Data processing occurs on the device, ensuring the privacy of conversations and the confidentiality of information.
The new features also include an automatic image dimming feature for photos that may contain sensitive content, in addition to warnings about suspicious links from unknown senders. A feature has also been added to block international messages from unregistered numbers in the user’s contact list.
Google is currently testing a sender verification system to prevent impersonation of known callers. This new system is expected to be available to users next year, enhancing security and trust in using the messaging app.
