Google Drive will not support certain versions of Windows, including some versions of Windows 10. Learn more about them.
During the year 2023, many Google Drive users will lose the ability to run the desktop application on certain versions of Windows.
Google has announced that it will stop supporting the Google Drive application on Windows 8/8.1, Windows 10 32-bit, and Windows Server 2012 starting from August next year.
Users who wish to continue using Google Drive on their computers will need to upgrade to at least Windows 10 64-bit.
However, users who do not wish to update their operating system will still be able to access Google Drive through the web browser. The service will continue to work on the mentioned operating systems as long as they are accessed from a compatible browser.
Also, remember that having an old operating system may expose you to malware threats and put your security and privacy at risk.
