The potential release date for the second installment of the open world game Ghost of Tsushima, titled Ghost of Yōtei, is expected to be next year.
After nearly a month since the official announcement of the game’s release, the upcoming title Ghost of Yōtei is also available on the PlayStation store’s Wishlist. Sony has not released any games with large budgets this year, but 2025 might be a promising year for PlayStation.

The same confirmation was made by the developer Sucker Punch in a post on platform X, allowing players to search for the game on the PlayStation store. However, we still have to wait for the specified release date of the adventure and action game supposed to be released in the next year, 2025.
The game takes place 300 years after Ghost of Tsushima, in 1603, and will take players to a new location in the Ezo region, around Mount Yōtei. There will be a new character in the game called Atsu, and Sucker Punch mentioned that players will have more freedom in progressing through the story and exploring the world in various ways. The game will feature a wide open world and will also maintain the intense combat seen in the previous installment.
The game will also feature stunning visuals, especially for the sky, showcasing polar auroras and radiant stars. Players will enjoy modern gameplay mechanics and new weapons, taking advantage of the features of PS5 and PS5 Pro to deliver a visually stunning experience surpassing the visuals of the previous installment.
