Game Freak was subjected to a cyber attack.

Game Freak, known for developing Pokemon games, was targeted in a massive cyber attack last August, resulting in a huge data leak.
According to recent reports, nearly 1 terabyte of data was compromised, including sensitive information such as details about 2000 current and former employees at the company, which includes:
- Full names
- Mailing addresses
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
The attack did not only involve personal information; source codes for several Pokemon games were also leaked, along with details about the company’s future projects.
For example, references to a project codenamed “Synapse” were discovered, said to be a new MMORPG game in the Pokemon world, developed in collaboration with an external studio.
Among the leaked information are details about a movie that was in production titled “Pokemon Movie 24,” which was supposed to be more mature but may have been cancelled.
Additionally, there is talk of a new anime project codenamed “Reload,” as well as a new Detective Pikachu movie.
