There has been much talk about a new part of the Pokémon series coming to the Nintendo platform, according to rumors that come from time to time. Mr. Shigeru Ohmori, the producer of the series, and Junichi Masuda, the music designer, from the Game Freak team, had a dialogue with the editorial team of the MeriStation website. They discussed the possibility of presenting a Pokémon game on the Nintendo Switch platform.

Mr. Masuda pointed out that portable platforms and mobile phones are more popular in Japan, and the audience prefers them more than home platforms. This led him to talk about a possible new part for the Nintendo Switch platform, which he stated,

“It is too early to talk about it, in order to present a Pokémon game on the Nintendo Switch, we must wait for its development in the gaming market. If it reaches the desired level, we will definitely offer something in this regard. It requires deep analysis and study before we start working, but I believe that a Pokémon part on the Switch will be a significant leap for the series.” Regards.
