From Software Studio confirms it is working on three projects simultaneously without Dark Souls series.

Certainly, From Software Studio remains a pioneer in game development studios, considering its contributions to the field through its various releases, the latest of which was Dark Souls 3. The studio announced a few months ago that it intends to move away from this type of game, specifically the Dark Souls series, to allow its developers to work on diverse projects.

Website 4Gamer had an interview with Mr. Hidetaka Miyazaki, the head of the studio, in which he discussed several points that we will share with you from the interview:

“After this new installment, we have decided to pause work on the Dark Souls series for a certain period. Of course, we will not abandon it, but we want to explore a new experience that is different from this genre, which we do not want to be always associated with us. We want to dedicate our expertise to upcoming projects.”

Regarding these projects, he added:

“One of these games is an action RPG that is not Dark Souls, but its quality is very close to dark fantasy. The other project is a reboot of an old game that we want to present in a new way and with a different perspective from before. Our last title is different from all of this, with all due respect to it, but it is a quirky game.”

The anticipation for such projects must be high, but undoubtedly, their release is expected to be years from now. In any case, From Software Studio has a bundle of upcoming games hidden in store for us, which is something special for fans of this team’s productions. Regards.
