But it seems that all this changed with the remake of Silent Hill 2, which achieved unprecedented critical and commercial success despite the fears surrounding it before the release.

The old generation enjoyed these series of games a lot, and now the new generation is joining in, as the Silent Hill 2 remake by Bloober Team has become the fastest-selling game in the series. Konami recently announced that the game has sold a million copies in just three days, making it the fastest-selling in the series by a wide margin compared to any other part. According to the insider Dusk Golem, this makes it the fastest-selling Silent Hill game ever, and certainly not bad for an exclusive release for PS5/PC and an IP that has been inactive for a long time.

It is worth noting that the PS5 version represents 78% of Silent Hill 2 sales in Europe.

Silent Hill 2 Remake has surpassed 1 million units sold in less than a week (via Konami’s press release, reached 1 million sales on October 11th).
