The Drum Gun recently appeared in Chapter 5 Season 2, but the original version introduced at the end of Chapter 1 Season 4 is considered the best, except for the Legendary Midas’ Drum Gun, which is one of the best Mythic weapons in Fortnite. This distinction is attributed to several factors. Firstly, the rarity of the Drum Gun was initially low, making it very common in the battlefield at that time. Additionally, the original version had a high damage per second (DPS) compared to later versions, and was able to easily destroy player structures.
The original version of the Drum Gun was a real force to be reckoned with, as it could inflict massive damage on players at close range, but at the expense of relatively poor accuracy at longer distances. It was commonly used among the Fortnite player community as a supporting weapon for continuous shooting and left a devastating impact when used with a Shotgun due to its high fire rate and large magazine capacity. Despite undergoing a series of modifications and power reductions in subsequent seasons, the Drum Gun cemented its place as one of the best weapons in Fortnite history and remained a credible weapon in close-quarters combat.

The Pump Shotgun is one of the original weapons in the Fortnite arsenal, first appearing in the pre-Chapter 1 season. This weapon is iconic and was considered one of the strongest weapons in the game during the early seasons. Although its range was limited, the Pump Shotgun was able to inflict massive damage in close combat and had the ability to eliminate opponents with a single headshot. Of course, players had to accurately hit most of their shots to achieve this decisive blow, meaning they had to be precise and close to their enemies.
The Pump Shotgun underwent several updates since its first appearance, such as damage modifications and reducing its potential range. However, the biggest modification was the delay introduced in Season 5, which removed the ability to bypass the pump action by carrying two of these weapons and switching between them after each shot, making it one of the most powerful weapons for a period of time. Despite this modification, the Pump Shotgun remained a strong weapon in close combat and proved its effectiveness when used with a submachine gun like the SMG or Assault Rifle.
