Les gens interagissent avec l’intelligence artificielle alimentée par la force: le nouveau navigateur Vivaldi est désormais plus privé, sans intelligence artificielle.

Vivaldi launches Vivaldi 7.0 today, an updated version of the free Windows browser that adds a new top interface for the new information panel, a central interface for managing your digital life. It avoids using artificial intelligence to do so.
I have been using Vivaldi as my browser for several years, partly due to the exceptional flexibility the browser offers. Vivaldi is particularly dense in information, providing visual access to a number of bookmarks, summaries, and emails, all in a narrow space. My colleague Michael Crider has his own reasons for switching from Chrome to Vivaldi, but we both stick to the browser.
On one hand, the new information panel looks like some efforts made in « new tab pages » added by browsers, where you can take what is essentially a blank page and add custom information to it. The information panel, or home page, allows you to put certain information that Vivaldi usually keeps for its sidebars – calendar, feeds, Instagram, email, etc. – and centralize it on the page.
Jon von Tetzchner, CEO of Vivaldi, described the new control panel in an interview: « We have a built-in feed, but in this case, it is more prominent. » « It is easily accessible, and you can quickly know if there is something that has changed. Similarly, from the same perspective, you can have some bookmarks, maybe anything on your to-do list, and anything else you want to put there.
Von Tetzchner added that Vivaldi expects users to start filling the space with web tools.
The Vivaldi 7 update is designed to give users something new to look at, but Von Tetzchner said he fully understands that users sometimes prefer the opposite.
