Google lance deux nouvelles fonctionnalités pour améliorer l’expérience utilisateur dans le navigateur Chrome sur Android.

Google, the American company, has announced the launch of two new features in the « Chrome » browser designed for Android phones, in a move aimed at improving user experience and meeting their growing needs.
The first feature is related to the integration of the browser with password management applications from third parties such as Dashlane and 1Password, allowing these applications to automatically fill in login credentials in the browser without the need for compatibility mode. This step solves previous issues like repeated suggestions and difficulties in scrolling, making it easier for users to manage their data more smoothly.
According to Google’s Android Developers Blog, the new feature allows users to automatically fill in passwords, keys, and other codes, as well as payment details and addresses through external applications, enhancing the user experience when switching between password managers.
Users can try this feature by installing the experimental version of Chrome 131 available on the Google Play Store, and activating it through the auto-fill settings in the browser. The feature is expected to reach all Chrome users with the next browser update.
The second feature that was released with Chrome 130 update allows users to listen to internet pages read using the « Listen to Page » technology even when exiting the browser or using other apps on the phone. This technology used to stop when exiting the browser, but the new update allows continuing listening to texts even when closing the app or switching between tasks.
The new feature includes playback controls such as restarting for ten seconds or skipping parts of the text, as well as the ability to control playback speed ranging from 0.5x to 4x. Users can also choose multiple voices for reading texts and activate automatic text highlighting to facilitate visual tracking while reading.
To access this feature, users can enable the quick play button from the settings to appear next to the address bar, making it easier to access this feature without the need to enter the expanded options menu.
