Google lance Android 15 sur les téléphones Pixel avec des fonctionnalités de sécurité et de confidentialité avancées

Google has started rolling out the Android 15 update to compatible Pixel devices, and while Google released the open-source version of the software last month, the commercial version of the system is now reaching phones and tablets.

As usual, Pixel devices have priority in getting the update, with Google launching the Pixel 9 series in August. Although Google usually releases system updates in sync with its flagship phones, this did not happen this time.

The Android 15 update will reach eligible devices from other manufacturers in the coming months, and some manufacturers may rely on modified versions of the system.

One of the key aspects of the new update is enhancing security and privacy. Google introduces the feature of “Theft Detection Lock,” which uses artificial intelligence to protect user data.

It adds additional layers of protection when removing a SIM card or disabling the “Find My Device” feature. Users can also set up a “Private Space” within Android 15 to hide sensitive applications and make them invisible to others.

The new features also include customizing the bottom bar on tablets and foldable phones, with the ability to pin or hide it as needed. A new feature for multitasking apps allows saving app pairs on the home screen for easy access with a single click, such as using Google Drive and Gmail together.

Google also offers more options in the camera for third-party apps, such as precise control over the flash, as well as support for logging in with “Password Keys” with a single touch.

In addition, Google today launched “Pixel Drop,” which includes support for the “Theft Detection Lock” feature for devices running Android 10 and above.
