Interacting with Saurians (Indwell Saurians)
There are three types of Saurians in Natlan that travelers can interact with (Indwell). You can identify them as follows:
- Tepetlisaurus: characterized by its brown rocky body.
- Koholasaurus: a shark-like Saurian that lives in water.
- Yumkasaurus: fast green-bodied Saurians with long tongues.
Note:
To make use of the abilities of Saurians, you need Phlogiston energy. If this energy runs out, it is best to switch to the Saurians you are using.
To interact with any Saurian, you must approach it until a symbol called Spiritsconce appears, indicating the possibility of possessing it. A glowing sign will appear on the screen, which you can press to become a Saurian. Control elements may vary depending on the platform you are playing Genshin Impact on.
How to Stop Interacting with Saurians (Indwelling Saurian)
To stop interacting with Saurians, you must continue pressing the exit button until you leave their body. Once you exit, you will notice that the interaction mark with the Indwelling Saurian remains. You can interact with the same Saurian using this mark again.
Tip:
This strategy is useful if you want to switch between multiple Saurians anywhere.
Uses and abilities of Teptlisaurus
Teptlisaurus is a Geo-element Saurian that can help you climb mountains quickly, saving you a lot of time and effort. If you interact with Molten Fissure, Teptlisaurus will automatically take you to where the fissures end, helping you reach many areas during exploration.
Abilities:
- Underground Stay: Teptlisaurus can stay buried underground while you continue moving forward. You can jump out of the ground by pressing the jump button.
- Breaking obstacles: Teptlisaurus can break obstacles and inflict damage using its basic attack.
Using it to solve puzzles:
You can also use Teptlisaurus to complete some specific puzzles. If you see a rock with a glowing mark, you can interact with it to start the puzzle. Look for dusty circular areas on the ground, dig in the ground using its ability, then use the basic attack inside the circle to activate them all and get a deluxe chest as a reward.
Uses and abilities of Yumkasaurus
Yumkasaurus are Dendro-element Saurians abundant in the Scions of The Canopy area. Interacting with them during exploration can be extremely useful, as they offer many ways to use their abilities.
Abilities:
- Jump between cliffs:
- Yumkasaurus can help you jump from one cliff to another using its long sticky tongue. You can use its skill by pressing the ability button to cling to any surface in front of you, or you can press and hold to aim towards a nearby area.
- Walking on walls:
- It can walk vertically on walls for a short distance, allowing you to bypass obstacles and reach hard-to-reach places.
- Travel using Coilgrass Sigils:
- You will find many Coilgrass Sigils that can be used to navigate through areas. You can direct Yumkasaurus’ ability towards the Sigil for travel. Some special Sigils may be colored green, and you can interact with them to create Leaves of Repose, platforms that help you reach other areas.
- Creating Leaves of Repose platforms:
- You will also be able to get Spores of Repose that stick to you, allowing you to create more Leaf of Repose platforms upon jumping.
- Attacking using Flamagranate:
- Yumkasaurus can deal significant damage to nearby enemies if it stores Flamagranate in its mouth. You can move with the bomb in your mouth and then detonate it on enemies to inflict Pyro damage. It can also inflict Dendro damage using its basic attack.
- Using Relay Balls:
- You can carry relay balls in its mouth and launch them onto platforms to activate them. Make sure the ball’s color and the platform match for activation to work.
Yumkasaurus’ abilities make it a valuable tool in exploration and combat, especially when used to solve puzzles and navigate through different areas in Natlan.
Uses and abilities of Koholasaurus
Koholasaurus is a Hydro-element Saurian that allows you to swim through the water areas in Natlan. It can jump to great heights using circular water vortexes called Jet Set Eddies. This jump allows you to reach elevated areas near the water.
