After facing your first enemy in South Vale and returning outside, head towards the body towards Neely’s Bar. Once you reach there, you’ll find the Jukebox. This is the location of the puzzle you need to solve. Interacting with the Jukebox reveals the puzzle components, and you’ll also get a broken vinyl record. You can find out more about the items needed to solve the Jukebox puzzle by reading the note titled Neely’s Bar Note on the table. It indicates Groovy Music to the north and apartments on Sout Street to the southwest, both circled on your map now. We’ll start by heading towards the latter.
Leave the office and head up to the second floor to 2F and go right. Immediately before Apartment 7, there’s a crawlspace on the floor that you can use, with another note on the desk next to the open window. This note is a tenant diary detailing something coming from another apartment in the building. Leave and head to Apartment 5, using the apartment key to enter.
When you press through the gap in the wall, James will hear noise coming from the upper floor. Press through the second gap in the wall, then climb out the window to the emergency exit ladder and go up. Climb through the window and search the adjacent bathroom. There you’ll find a hole in the wall where James can reach his hand. You have the option to delve into the hole 3 times, and you must do so each time. Eventually, you’ll find the Jukebox button. You can now leave South Vale Apartments by the open rooftop on your left, then descend the ladder to street level.
When you return to the street, you can find more notes on South Street, around the courtyard with the cart: an old map, 3 South Street notes, and a Car House note. You can now head to Groovy Music.
Locations of Glue and Broken Vinyl Record in Silent Hill 2 Remake
After obtaining the Jukebox button, head north on Neely Street until you reach Groovy Music on your left. Enter and deal with the enemies inside. Once they’re defeated, retrieve the note from the table called Record Store Note. The rest of the room may seem empty, but you can actually break the glass along the back wall and access another room. On the table in the middle, you’ll find Vinyl Glue and the other half of the broken vinyl record. Now you have all three required items for the puzzle, open your inventory and identify the key items. Combine the two halves of the broken vinyl record with the vinyl glue to get the labeled vinyl record.
Where to find Neely Bar Token?
The last item needed to solve this puzzle is in Texas Cafe, located on the eastern edge of Katz Street. Once inside, grab the healthy drink from the fridge behind the bar and interact with the cash vending machine. Turn the key and press the button at the bottom to get the Neely Bar Token. An enemy will ambush you immediately after doing so, defeat it and return to Neely’s Bar with all the items you need to solve the puzzle.
The Final Solution to the Jukebox Puzzle in Silent Hill 2 Remake
When you return to Neely’s Bar with the labeled vinyl record, interact with the Jukebox. Start by lowering the blue gear to allow the connected green and red gears to expand and accept the labeled vinyl record.
At this point, a stack of vinyl records will be lifted in the top part of the music box. Locate the missing numbered button and insert the music box button there. Then, insert the Neely Bar Token into the flashing coin slot on the right.
