Le Steam Deck 2 ne sera pas publié tant que Valve n’aura pas trouvé un vrai saut générationnel pour la prochaine génération.

Valve did not hesitate to talk about Steam Deck 2 at all, and after its successful first foray into the world of mobile gaming devices, the company has become more excited than ever to find larger technological leaps for the industry. However, Valve does not want to fall into the trap of useless repetitive upgrades.
In their conversation with Reviews.org, the designers of the Steam Deck, Laurence Yang and Wizan Dahiya, successors to the hybrid platform, discussed how Valve is not interested in annual release cycles. Laurence confirmed that Valve aims to make a significant leap between generations in its next platform, and is currently moving towards achieving this goal at the forefront of development.
Valve also hopes to achieve a balance between performance and efficiency, as Laurence continued:
We want to wait for a generational leap in computing without sacrificing battery life.
The gaming giant previously confirmed that its next mobile device will not arrive before late 2025, and with the continued strength of the original device and the OLED model being a more tempting purchase, it is clear that the company is not in a hurry to release the new device.
