Samsung has started working on its mid-range phones for next year, and the first information about the Galaxy A36 phone has emerged, which is expected to offer improvements in performance and technologies.
Android 15 System
An unannounced Samsung phone with model number SM-A366B was spotted on Geekbench, and it is believed to be the new Galaxy A36 phone that will support 5G. The phone will run on Android 15 with the One UI 7.0 interface directly upon its launch.
The phone will come with a processor codenamed Parrot and 6GB of RAM, with a possible 8GB version.
Processor and Efficiency
The phone will have an octa-core processor with a frequency of up to 2.4 GHz for high performance and 1.8 GHz for power efficiency. It will also come with an Adreno 710 GPU, meaning it may run on a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 or Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor.
The phone’s processor is built on 4nm technology, which contributes to improving battery life compared to the Galaxy A35 phone.
Long-Term Android Updates
It is expected that the Galaxy A36 phone will receive 6 major Android updates, like the Galaxy A16 5G phone. This means that the phone will continue to receive updates until Android 21.
Expected Specifications
The Samsung phone may come with a 6.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display with a 120Hz refresh rate, with improvements in brightness and reduced bezels.
Additionally, it is expected to feature a 32-megapixel front camera and a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera, along with features like stereo speakers, IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, and a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.
