Fingerprint of Galaxy S10 Can Be Opened by Anyone
Users have discovered a major issue with the fingerprint sensor of the Galaxy S10, as it cannot differentiate between fingerprints, allowing anyone to unlock the phone. This issue occurs only when using screen protectors available in the market, even though Samsung has used a more accurate sensor than other phones, specifically an Ultrasonic sensor, while other companies use an optical sensor.
Samsung has acknowledged the issue and stated that it is not a hardware problem but a software one. They will release an update soon to address this issue permanently and advised users to avoid unreliable screen protectors to prevent unauthorized access.
This issue is not limited to the S10 but also exists in the Note 10 phones, as they share the same software for the fingerprint sensor.
