Finally, Facebook supports 3D images on Android and here’s how to publish these images.
Facebook has recently added support for sharing 3D photos on its iPhone app only. Android was not supported at that time, but they have recently released an update for their Android app that supports easy sharing of 3D photos. In this post, we will explain how to take 3D photos on phones that support this feature and how to share them on Facebook for Android devices.
To capture 3D photos, you need four things:
First, activate Portrait Mode if you are using an iPhone or Live Focus mode if you are using Android.
Second, stand about three or four feet away from the object you want to capture.
Third, make sure the background is clear.
Fourth, do not capture transparent objects as it may affect the image quality.
To share a photo on Facebook, download the latest version of the Facebook app, log in to your account, create a post by clicking on “What’s on your mind,” select 3D photo, upload the photo you captured and want to share in 3D, then wait for the app to process and upload the image to the site.
You can then experience it by moving your phone right and left to see the background move while the captured object remains still. If the method doesn’t work for you and you can’t find 3D Photo, you need to like the Facebook 360 page and try again.
