Human attempts at innovation will never cease, and this has led to an attempt to simulate the human mind through the creation of the most powerful computers in history, as seen with IBM.
In recent years, IBM created a computer called Sequoia, which features over a million and a half processors and 1000 terabytes of storage just to simulate the human brain.
However, despite its impressive capabilities, this giant computer operates about 1500 times slower than the human brain. To match the human brain’s performance, it needs 12 gigawatts of power, equivalent to power used by the cities of New York and Los Angeles combined.
