The game Alan Wake 2 will receive a second expansion to continue its story called Lake House. Fans of Remedy games are eagerly awaiting the release date of this expansion. According to a new leak on the EB Games New Zealand website, the second downloadable content for Remedy’s game may be released on October 22nd.
The website mentions the release of Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition with the following disclaimer:
“Please note that due to the global release of Alan Wake 2: Deluxe Edition, the downloadable content for the Lake House expansion will not be available on disc until midnight on October 22, 2024.”
We already know that Alan Wake 2 Lake House will be launched in October, with not much time left in the month. During the State of Play event in September 2024, we got our first look at this expansion, where players will enter the Federal Bureau of Control agent Kiran Estivie’s headquarters in an adventure parallel to the events of the first game. Estivie is the main agent in the Beta Investigation Unit in Control, played by actress Janina Gavankar, who says in the promotional clip:
“This is not the office’s first time in Bright Falls. The Federal Bureau of Investigation set up a research facility called Lake House. If I had any idea what awaited us there… I’d have kept driving.”
Lake House is a secret research facility on the shores of Cauldron Lake, used by the Federal Bureau of Control to study the supernatural effects of the lake and its dark presence. Remedy has stated that Alan Wake 2 Lake House will be a terrifying survival experience, unlike the stranger stories seen in the first expansion.
