Engineer at Amazon launches the first app that helps you understand the language of cats and communicate with them

Understanding what our pets want has always been a great subject of interest for technology and humans. We have already seen some initiatives and revolutionary inventions solving this problem that could have been achieved, but the truth is that to this day we still do not know what cats and dogs are saying when they bark and meow.
Javier Sánchez, a former engineer at Amazon, aims to solve the big dilemma for many families through an app that allows you to translate a wide range of cat expressions. Currently, to understand dogs, we will have to wait a little longer.
MeowTalk is the name of the app that wants to change the lives of families with cats. But what does this app really rely on? According to Sánchez himself in an interview, he relied on his knowledge of systems like Alexa to decipher cat messages.
Therefore, for example, Javier Sánchez points out that cats have a series of basic intentions like hunger, pain, or happiness, and the app is able to tell you when this happens.
It is clear that these expressions are not 100% reliable and users can adjust these translations based on their cat’s reactions. For this, it is possible to record the meow of the cat we want and the app will give it meaning; if it turns out to be inappropriate, it is possible to make adjustments to shape the translation.
Currently, the app is only available in English but is expected to be compatible with more languages in the near future. If you dare to try it, let us know your impressions, as we face a curious invention, no doubt.
