The arrival of voice messages on Whatsapp officially.. Here is how you can use it

Since WhatsApp released statuses in 2017, WhatsApp has not stopped improving this feature to make it more interesting for more than 2 billion monthly active users. And so, after weeks of rumors, the official messaging app owned by Meta finally confirmed the arrival of voice messages to WhatsApp statuses.

WhatsApp confirmed in a post on its official blog published today that after a few weeks in Beta, Voice States are now available in a stable manner for all instant messaging app users.

WhatsApp has just announced the arrival of Voice Statuses to its platform, a feature that will allow you to record and share voice messages up to 30 seconds as an update to your status. To create your first voice status, simply tap the microphone icon that will appear on the status screen, record the voice, and share it with whomever you want.

WhatsApp’s Voice Status reminds us a lot of an app called Cappuccino, which allows you to share intimate and personal voice stories with your friends and family.

But that’s not all, because WhatsApp also confirmed that you can now interact with emojis for status updates simply by scrolling up on any status and tapping one of the eight available emojis.

Similarly, the instant messaging app announced the availability of status profile ring tones for all users. These loops appear around the profile picture of a contact when they post a new status update.

Finally, WhatsApp has also enabled link previews in statuses, displaying previews of links to Instagram posts or YouTube videos shared by your friends in their status updates.
